Nothing exciting is really happening. This is a chicken I'm about to roast. And above is a bridge and some buildings that I saw, pretty lame....Thanks bye.

Since this was my (Janelle’s) first time ever in Sweden and also the first time I even heard of Skärgården, I’m going to continue from my big-eyed, LA-girl perspective–or rather, from everyone else’s perspective, because there are few things left in this world that remain untouched by mainstream tourism. There are no hotels here, just dozens of single-family houses (likely built by their bare hands, adding to the quaintness). So we were lucky enough to have extended family in Hasselkobben.

Enter Sanna, Rasmus’s second mother, whose house is just a short skip and stone’s throw away from the shoreline. To start the fairy tale weekend, we were greeted with sun and flowers, butterflies and treats, lots of treats. And Sanna, the fairy godmother, whose cooking was enough to make you want to give it all up and live in this summer house forever (or at least until the winter). Finally, we escaped, as far away from New York City as possible.

Honesty

Decided to visit my old creative partner Axel Lindgren in Stockholm. We used to work together at R/GA in New York, but now he is back in Sweden working for and agency called Honesty. I have to  say that  they have a very cool office. Basketball court, their own coffee, the old factory windows. Thumbs up!

Martin Schmetzer

With the long-awaited, highly anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto 5 this month, my awesome, super talented friend Martin decided to redesign the game's logo, giving it the face lift it deserves. My fellow fan friends and I had expected an updated logotype to launch with every GTA release. But it never happened. Strange that the rest of the game design and character illustrations advanced so fantastically but the logo did not. Check out Martin’s cool rendition and more of his super stylish work here.

Lunch date with the family

We had lunch at Mariatorget with sister Johanna, her son Gideon and grandma Gerd.

Johanna often shows Gideon the through the eyes of Rasmus Keger blog and he became obsessed about Janelle’s latest tattoo, the Illuminati symbol, the pyramid eye. We decided to make him a bunch of customized pyramid eye Gideon tattoos, and he was super happy, we all put them on.

We felt like kids again when we went to the ice cream store to pick up our childhood favorites.

The food arrived and Gideon paid no attention to us, of course.

Breakfast with Youco

We met up with Youco that was visiting Stockholm from New York. Youco is an amazing Designer. Check out her work here. We just started working together on a project and I'm looking forward to tell you more about it as soon as it's done.
